Her birthday is on 29 March 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle is her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is American and is of Mexican American heritage. Since she was a child she has had a strong desire to participate in athletics. Gerina began golfing when she was 15 years of age. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. In high school she won the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. In addition to playing volleyball, she also competed at a state-level. At the age of 2003, she enrolled at the University of Texas. Her senior year was a success. she was a winner in every single tournament that she took part in. Through her college years, she received her Conference USA Player of The Year Award as well as The UTEP Female Sport Athelete Award.
