Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 during the Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became her coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she won the competition in 1970. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all aspects. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she became the first person in the world who used a double backwards salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career as an entertainment professional as a teenager in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with their sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment in her teens. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating shows.
