Jenna Fischer has become best known as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and also an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne performed in church plays. She was awed by performance and theater began at a very young girl. After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her origins. She starred in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller.
