Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, she became interested in acting as a young child. She began her career working in the field of advertising, appearing in numerous commercials. In 1984 she made her debut on the screen with an episode of NBC's sitcom It's Your Move. Her debut was on the large screen in romance comedy Pretty in Pink. Her most famous feature is the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she has. Recently Swan has been performing in the role of secondary characters. The actress won the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture in the film Flowers in the Attic.
