Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) in the television show. This role brought her an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she won two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in an ensemble comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actor with theatre training. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's closest friend from real life and Fischer started the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of 2019. The podcast quickly gained popularity. Each week it ranked in the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloads in its first couple years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide In it, she recounts her experience to St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored by Angela Kinsey), which is a memoir of their best relationship and their time in The Office.
