Jenna Fischer's most recognizable role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly loved television show The Office. Fischer was awarded the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by the comedy's ensemble.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mom Anne was a performer in church plays in her younger years which sparked an interest in theater.
Fischer was a theater actress in her own country. The Off-Broadway production Reasons To Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was a part of. After starring in Steve Martin's most recent play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she performed in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey launched an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to become wildly popular, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life : A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey) The book tells her tale of relocating from St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is detailed.
